Energy Engineer

Job Description:
We are currently seeking an Energy Engineer for our contracted utility program work. This position can be remote in the Northeast Region (NY, NJ and New England) and can be flexible in terms of days worked. The Engineer will be responsible for the following:

Analyze and assess the feasibility of energy efficiency measures in commercial and industrial facilities.

Review energy audit and inspection reports of buildings. Interview facility managers, contractors and utility staff to validate submitted energy efficiency measures.

Work on a variety of energy saving calculations, strategies and projects.

Interact with clients and prepare reports.
Required Qualifications:

Bachelors in Engineering or related field.
-
1-4 years of experience in green building, energy efficiency or building science.

Experience with utility energy efficiency programs and knowledge of energy efficient technologies and practices.
Compensation:
Compensation will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Student Intern

Green Banyan Consulting is looking for Student Interns to work on energy efficiency and renewable energy projects. It is a paid internship program.
Job Description
As an Intern you will be working with our Principal Engineers supporting their efforts. You would be responsible for the following:

Calculating energy savings, cash-flow analysis, billing analysis for energy efficiency and renewable energy projects

Supporting engineering tool development using Microsoft Excel

Preparing draft reports such as engineering reviews and measurement & verification plans

Interact with clients and prepare reports.
Required Qualifications:

Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's Degree program or graduate program at an accredited institution

Knowledge of green building design, energy efficiency or building science
