C&I Field Tech

 

We are currently seeking C&I Field Technician for our energy efficiency services. The selected candidates will coordinate all quality assurance activities such as scheduling field visits and conducting pre/post field inspections at small businesses as well as commercial and industrial facilities in Connecticut.

• Schedule and coordinate with utility staff, contractors and customers to successfully conduct field inspections.

• Perform QA/QC activities, including conducting pre- and post-installation energy efficiency project inspections.

• Conduct walk-through inspections of facilities and interview facility owners/managers to validate submitted energy efficiency measures.

• Complete verification forms, take pictures and write brief inspection reports.

• Conduct work in compliance with OSHA and company safety procedures

 

Required Qualifications:

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree and 1-3 years of utility, energy efficiency or engineering experience.

• Experience with utility energy efficiency programs and knowledge of energy efficient technologies and practices related to lighting and HVAC systems in commercial buildings.

• The candidate will have a professional presentation when doing the verification work in a client's business and be able to confidently work independently.

• Demonstrate strong communication skills in terms of coordinating scheduling, being on time and alerting the proper constituents in the case of travel or scheduling difficulties.

• Reliable transportation and must have valid driver’s license and successfully pass a background check.

 

Professional Skills:

• Sound business ethics, including the protection of proprietary and confidential information.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications

Schedule:

• Flexible 2-3 days a week

• 20 hours per week

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Required)
